In the international market, Huawei released AR1220 router; while you might not know that in china market huawei have AR1220-S in china market, which almost the same appearance with AR1220, but with lower performance and less L3 features, all of this, to make it price more competitive for the customer who doesn’t even need those high performance and L3 features.

Conclusion
based on the comparison we can see, except lower forwarding performance, without LTE (how many operators support now), BGP for IPV4/IPV6, MPLS(this might be the most important factor), the other specification are the same. May be you can balance, with or without MPLS, with higher or lower price, basically network was complicated due to different situation and customer requires. choose the right solution, at least huawei provide more solution with more cost-effective solutions for choose.
