Q: Why failure to create VLANIF interfaces of other VLANs?

A: 

This problem is caused by the VLANIF interface corresponding to the default VLAN (VLAN 1) of the system. Therefore, you must delete the VLANIF interface of VLAN 1 before configuring VLANIF interfaces of other VLANs.

Q: Does the S2300 switch support PoE?

A:

In V100R001 and V100R002, none of the Switches support the PoE function.

Q: How to delete all configurations of the S2300?

A:

To delete all the configurations, delete the vrpcfg.cfg file from the flash memory, and then restart the S2300. The vrpcfg.cfg file cannot be deleted when it is running because it is used as the system file. To delete the file forcibly, perform the following steps:

1.     Restart the S2300 and press Ctrl+B to enter the BootROM menu, and then enter the default password huawei.

2.     Press Ctrl+Z to enter the hidden menu, and then select option 2 to enter flash memory.

3.     Delete the vrpcfg.cfg file from the flash memory, and then restart the device.


Q: Does the S2300 support stacking?

A: 

The S2300 does not support stacking. Later versions of V100R003 support the HGMP cluster.


Q: How to configure load balancing in a link aggregation group of SW2300?

A:

·         V100R001

Run the load-balance { dmac | smac | smacxordmac } command in the Eth-Trunk view.

The default load balancing mode is smacxordmac.

·         V100R002 and V100R003

Run the load-balance { dmac | smac | smacxordmac | sip | dip | sipxordip } command in the Eth-Trunk view.

The default load balancing mode is smacxordmac.
