Did you ever met to access external sensor alarm to transmission equipment like Huawei OSN1500, OSN2500, OSN3500 equipment, now we share some experience to how to connect it.
I. First just show some picture of sensors:

II. Here we take example to show where usually sensors are connected to ALMI1, ALMI2, ALMI3 and ALMI4 ports of AUXboard of the OSN 3500; you can also add ALM port on OSN 1500 and ALMO2 on OSN 2500.
Each port of alarm input on AUX board of OSN 3500 can use
III. Sensors configuration principal.
Usually sensors are configured on AUX board in OSN3500 and OSN 1500, SAP board on OSN 2500. Here we take AUX board configuration as example. First choose NE where sensors will be connected to.
Then NE Explorer->AUX->Environment Monitor Interface from Function Tree->Input Relay.
There are 3 sensors on OSN 1500 because of input alarm connection limitation of OSN 1500. Name of alarm can be put in Path Name. For enable sensor Using Status must be change from “Unused” to ”Used” status.
More important part it is alarm mode configuration.
There are two alarm generation modes: 1. An Alarm is “Generated if the Relay Turns Off and Low Level is Caused
2. An Alarm is “Generated if the Relay Turns On and High Level is Caused”.
Level of alarm can be set manually through “Alarm Severity” There are 4 levels: 1. Critical Alarm 2. Major Alarm 3. Minor Alarm 4. Warning Alarm
