creating two assisted ASON circuits

How to create two associated ASON circuits

The ASON trail association function associates two services so that service trails are separated whenever possible during service rerouting and optimization.

Prerequisites

You must be an NM user with “NE operator” authority or higher.

creating two assisted ASON circuits

Background Information

Only services with the same source node support association.

Association is supported between silver trails, between copper trails, between silver and copper trails, between silver server trails, between copper server trails, and between silver and copper server trails.

Application Scenario

As shown in Figure 1 and , the 1+1 services need to be created between R1 and R2 and pass through the ASON network. To ensure that the two trails do not pass through the same ASON node, the two ASON trails must be associated. After the two ASON trails are associated, one ASON trail will not be rerouted to the other ASON trail.

Procedure

  1. Choose Configuration > SDH ASON > ASON Trail Management from the Main Menu.
  2. In the SDH ASON Trail Management window, choose Create > Association Trail.
  3. In the SDH ASON Association Trail Creation window, enter Basic InformationRoute Restriction, and Pre-Calculation Route of trail 1 and trail 2. The example is provided as follows:

NOTE:

Trail 1 and trail 2 must have the same source.

  1. Set the common attributes, including the Revertive ModeWTR TimeReroute LockoutPriorityCrackBackPolicyTrigger Condition for Rerouting Associated RouteRerouting Triggered by B3 Bit Error and Rerouting Hold-off time.

NOTE:

The Trigger Condition for Rerouting Associated Route parameter can take the following values. Associated services support the Flex P&R protection.

Reroute when one trail fails

Reroute when both trails fail

Reroute when Flex P&R protection is configured

If the Reroute when Flex P&R protection is configured value is taken, you need to set Protection Switchovers and Restoration Times. For the value ranges of these two parameters, refer toTable 1 in Protection and Restoration in an ASON Network.

  1. Optional: Set Support Unavailable Resource and Automation Pre-Calculation.

NOTE:

If you select the Support Unavailable Resource check box, the interrupted TE links can be used for calculating routes.

If you select the Automatic Pre-Calculation check box, the U2000 starts automatic pre-calculation on the NE before the associated trails are created.

  1. Click Apply. After confirmation, apply the configuration.
  2. Click Cancel to go back to the SDH ASON Trail Management window. You can see the detailed descriptions of the service.
