NOTE:

“optical and electrical” means that users can use either port GE0 on the daughter board or the GE0 electrical port on the panel for upstream transmission.

One GE cascading port (optical or electrical)

NOTE:

“optical or electrical” means that:

·         Both ports 0 and 1 provided by a daughter board support both the GE optical and electrical modules to provide optical and electrical ports. Users can select either of the ports to function as the GE optical port or electrical port.

·         Users can use either port 0 on the daughter board or the GE electrical port on the panel for upstream transmission.

The control board supports upstream daughter boards and voice daughter boards, the below picture shows the positions of the daughter boards on the control board.

NOTE:

  • A faulty upstream daughter board can be replaced with a daughter board only of the same type.
  • The original upstream mode can be changed by replacing an upstream daughter board (H831GP1A or H831GE1A). After the replacement, adjust the original upstream network. In addition, clear device data, reset the device, and configure services on the device because the original data and services cannot be used.
