NetStar is a suite of network solutions developed by Huawei to establish a high-performance network foundation for the AI era. To function properly, it must integrate with iMaster NCE. This article provides a step-by-step guide on installing the NetStar tool on iMaster NCE (NCE introduction)
Before carrying out the tool installation steps, we must obtain the EasySuite software, which will be responsible for the installation procedure. First, we will download EasySuite, and we will store it on disk C of our machine. After that, we must extract the file and click “start” to run the software.
1, Start the NCE
2, Planning configuration
Login the NCE, user: admin, password: Changeme_123
Select the “Project”, choose “New Project” and we will be redirected to carry out the NetStar installation steps.
In the first step, we will establish some necessary settings (type of solution used, NCE version, etc.), so that the system recognizes the type of NCE we will work with.
3, Attach the directory where the NetStar file is located, so that EasySuite can perform the file integrity check. NetStar file will also be downloaded and placed on disk C, to then be extracted. Remembering that the selected file must be described as in the example given by EasySuite.
4, Configure the IP address of our NCE, followed by the user passwords (sopuser, ossadm and root).
5, Validate the information that configured in the previous step, and later, perform the Health Check verification, which will allow us to visualize the state that the network is in, showing us possible errors that may be possible.
6, Upload the NetStar file, so that EasySuite can check its integrity, and later make a backup for possible future needs.
7, Carry out the complete implementation of NetStar for NCE management. After the end of this stage, the procedure performed will be displayed, as well as the errors generated. At the end of the entire process, click OK and complete the NetStar implementation procedure in NCE management.
