Huawei NE40E System Test Procedure

Huawei enterprise router BRAS ME60, core router NE40E and NE8000 are very popular in domestic and overseas market. Especially in China, many distributors swarm into this field. Most of them have no websites and test labs, they source routers in the market, or just swap out some router cards from scrapped chassis, and then sell them to overseas customers directly without any test.

Due to no test lab and professional technical team, the customers always received an item with problems, such as board unregistered, daughter-card missing etc. Thunder-link has a complete test system, and every item will be tested by the engineers comprehensively before delivering to customers. This article will introduce the test procedures of NE40E series router.

Here taking a Huawei NE40E as an example.

1. Connect a PC and the CONSOLE port on MPU via a console cable

2. Insert mother and daughter board, LPUF-102and P101-E

3. Observe the indicator lights status of these board, lights turn from red to green and glint once every second

4, Login NE40E-X3, password huawei@123or Admin@123

5, Check status of main control boards, switching boards and mother boards.

Why we should record NE40-E current software version?

Each service board have corresponding system software, (LPUF-120) E for example (below table), it has mapping version; If the user needs more service cards for expansion in future, before purchasing, we will check the current software of the device with customers, to guarantee boards can work with NE40E normally.
