Huawei OptiX OSN 8800 UPS can operate with an independent DC or AC power supply
Supports ETSI cabinet mounting and 19-inch rack mounting
Supports 16 service slots (IU1 to IU16) for DC power supply and 15 service slots (IU1 to IU15) for AC power supply
Supports 2 SCC boards (insert in slots IU1 and IU2) as mutual backup when it serves as a master subrack
Supports IEEE 1588v2 or physical clock synchronization function when 2 STG boards (work in active/standby mode and
are inserted in slots IU3 and IU4) are configured
Huawei OptiX OSN8800 universal platform subrack comes with two PIU (Power Interface Unit), one EFI (EMI Filter Interface Board) when operate with an independent DC power supply; comes with two APIU (AC power Interface Unit, 2 slots), one EFI (EMI Filter Interface Board) when operate with an independent AC power supply. Q: What is the difference between AC/DC power supply mode?
A: The main difference is APIU (AC power interface unit) will occupy 2 slots, DC power unit only need one slot.
Q: What should I pay attention to if I want to use IEEE 1588v2 function?
A: The IEEE 1588v2 function is not supported by all services boards or ST2/AST2 boards in slots 3 and 4 in an OptiX OSN 8800 universal platform subrack. When the universal platform subrack needs to use the IEEE 1588v2 or physical clock synchronization function, two STG boards need to be configured. These two STG boards work in active/standby mode and are inserted in slots IU3 and IU4.
Q: Do you have U2000 NMS and U2000 NMS License if I buy OSN 8800 UPS from you?
A: Yes, we can share U2000 software package to our customers for free and U2000 license for test purpose, not for commercial use.
