After installing the Web LCT, you must verify installation paths and shortcut icons.
Procedure
1.Check that the Web LCT installation path exists.
If the default path has been used for installing the Web LCT, the C:\Web_LCT path exists.
2.Check that the JRE installation path exists.
If the default path has been used for installing the JRE, the C:\Web_LCT\WebLCT\jre path exists.
3.Check shortcut icons.
Check that the Start Web LCT, Stop Web LCT and Uninstall Web LCT shortcut icons are displayed on the desktop.
The Start Web LCT, Stop Web LCT and Uninstall Web LCT options are available by choosing Start > Programs > iManager U2000 Web LCT.
Starting the Web LCT
Procedure
1.Start the computer where the Web LCT is installed.
2.Double-click the shortcut icon Start Web LCT on the desktop.
The Web LCT starts properly and the Web LCT login dialog box is displayed.
3.Enter the password and the verification code.
NOTE:
The default Web LCT user name is admin and the initial password is Changeme_123. Change the initial password after logging in to the Web LCT for the first time. Make a note of your password and keep it in a safe place.
4.Click Login.
Creating NEs in Batches
When the Web LCT communicates with a gateway NE (GNE) properly, you can create NEs in batches by searching for all NEs that communicate with the GNE, using the IP address of the GNE or the network segment that the IP address belongs to. This method is quicker and more accurate than manual creation.
Prerequisites
Only NEs that use Ethernet ports can be searched out.
Procedure
1.Choose NE Search > Advanced Search in the NE list. The Search NE dialog box is displayed.
2.Click Manage Domain. The Manage Domain Search dialog box is displayed.
3.Click Add. The New Domain dialog box is displayed.
4.Set Domain Type to GNE IP Domain or GNE IP Address, and enter an IP address in the Domain Address text box.
5.Click OK.
NOTE:
To add multiple search domains, repeat Steps 3 through 5.
6.Click Cancel to close the Manage Domain Search dialog box.
7.Select an appropriate network segment within the search domain and click Search.
NOTE:
The NE search function searches out only the NEs in the specified network segment.
During the search, you can click End Search to stop it.
8.After the search is complete, select an NE from the list and click Add NE. A message is displayed, indicating that the NE has been successfully added.
9.Click OK.
10.Optional: In the Search NE dialog box, select one or more non-gateway NEs and click Set Gateway NE to switch the non-gateway NEs to GNEs.
Follow-up Procedure
Possible causes of and solutions to a failure to log in to a newly created NE are as follows:
The password for the NE user is incorrect. Enter the correct password of the NE user.
The NE user account is unauthorized or the NE user has already logged in. Use an authorized NE user account that is not in use.
