Q: What is the board substitution relation among different versions?
A:
| Original Board |
Substitute Board |
Substitution Rules |
| TN11ST2 |
TN13ST2 |
The TN13ST2 can be created as 11ST2 on the NMS. The former can substitute for the latter, without any software upgrade. After substitution, the TN13ST2 functions as the TN11ST2. |

Q: What are the differences between the three version?
A:
- FunctionThe TN12ST2 board supports line fiber quality monitoring, but the TN11ST2 or TN13ST2 board does not.
- AppearanceThe panel appearance of the TN12ST2 board is different from that of the TN11ST2 or TN13ST2 board. The TN12ST2 board provides the TMI1/TMO1 and TMI2/TMO2 ports, but the TN11ST2 or TN13ST2 board does not.
Q: How to choose the working wavelength of TN13ST2 Boards?
A: When the TN13ST2 board works with the SFIU board, it is recommended that the working wavelength of the TM1 be 1511nm and the working wavelength of the TM2 be 1491nm.
When the TN13ST2 board works with the FIU board, the supervisory channel signal wavelength is 1511 nm.
Q: Does the TN13ST2 board can interwork with TN11ST2 or TN12ST2 board for OSC interconnection?
A: The TN13ST2 board only can interwork with a TN11ST2 board for OSC interconnection.
Q: What’s the relationship between OAU, DAS1 and ST2?
A: OAU is only for amplifying the input optical signals in C band and ST2 only supports optical supervisory, while DAS1 both supports amplifier and optical supervisory.
Q: Does TN13ST2 board support line fiber quality monitoring?
A: No, only the TN12ST2 board supports line fiber quality monitoring.
Q: Can I return/exchange board if not compatible with my system?
A: Yes, please tell our sales team your system and main control board version, before purchase.
Q: The board is new or refurbished?
A: Yes, it is original new, not been used.
Q: What is the lead time for TN13ST2 board?
A: In normal condition is 5 days, better to confirm with our sales team before your purchase.

Our TN13ST2 works with a FIU board, so the supervisory channel signal wavelength is 1511 nm, right?

We installed ST2 into the OSN6800, it work normally, but later we found it cannot support the IEEE 1588v2 function, why?
