Apply to OSN 9800 M05, OSN 9800 M12 and OSN 9800 M24.

The VA2 board adjusts power for up to two signals and provides power-off protection

As a variable optical attenuator unit, the VA2 board adjusts power for two optical signals

Functions and features (Muxponder mode)
Basic function Queries its preconfigured attenuation and adjust the power for up to two optical signals according to the control commands sent by the system control board
Spectrum application Supports super C-band wavelengths
Power-off protection Provides power-off protection to avoid damage to the associated optical receiver due to the excessive optical power generated when the VA2 board is recovering from a power outage.
If VA2 board undergoes a power outage, the attenuation set last time for the VA2 board is retained or the attenuation automatically switches to its maximum value. When being the maximum value, the attenuation of the VA2 board still remains at the maximum value shortly after the power supply recovers. When the system begins to work normally, the attenuation automatically switches back to the value set the last time
Optical power detection Detects the two channels of optical power at the IN port
Attenuation range The variable attenuation range is between 0 dB and 20 dB. The attenuation is adjusted in increments of 0.1 dB
