Apply to OSN 9800 M05, OSN 9800 M12 and OSN 9800 M24, it supports wavelength broadcast, dynamic wavelength grooming, resizable channel bandwidths, in-service monitoring of optical performance, and alarms and performance events monitoring

TNG3WSMD9 supports optical-layer ASON and Optical-layer loopback functions

TNG3WSMD9 supports Alarm and performance event monitoring and Optical power adjustment

TNG3WSMD9 as a ROADM unit, the WSMD9 board is used with optical multiplexer boards, optical demultiplexer boards, or other OADM boards to perform wavelength grooming at DWDM network nodes

Function and Feature	Description
Basic function	Implements optical-layer service grooming for multiple wavelengths.
	Wavelength adding: adds any wavelengths from any directions through ports AM1 to AM9 and outputs the wavelengths through the OUT port.
	Wavelength dropping: broadcasts the main optical channel signals received through the IN port to ports DM1 to DM9.
WDM specification	Supports the DWDM specification.
Spectrum application	Supports extended C-band.
	Supports signals with a 50 GHz channel spacing.
	Supports flexible grid wavelength signals.
	The signals have continuous n x slice GHz spectrums (one slice is equal to 6.25 GHz, and n is an integer ranging from 6 to 64) to meet the bandwidth requirements of high-rate services. When multi-rate services are transmitted together, bandwidth can be flexibly allocated to improve bandwidth usage.
In-service optical performance monitoring	Provides an online monitoring optical port (MON). Through this optical port, a small number of optical signals can be output to an optical spectrum analyzer or an optical spectrum analyzer board. In this manner, the spectrum and optical performance of the multiplexed optical signals can be monitored without interrupting services.
