A cross-connect board that implements VC-3 and VC-12 signal grooming and protection in a subrack
Only the subrack in which the UCXCS board is configured supports SXCL boards
Two SXCL boards, which work in active and standby mode, must be configured for each subrack
Lower-order cross-connections can be configured only after two lower-order cross-connect boards are added. In addition, 1+1 protection of the two lower-order cross-connect boards is automatically created
The lower-order cross-connect boards can be deleted only after all lower-order cross-connections are deleted
TNV2SXCL extracts VC-3 and VC-12 signals from VC-4 signals and performs electrical-layer grooming on all VC-3 and VC-12 signals. After the grooming is completed, the SXCL board encapsulates the signals into VC-4 signals again. The UCXCS board then transmits the VC-4 signals to service boards. In this way, grooming of VC-3 and VC-12 signals is completed.
