How to configure static ARP on the switch

I’m going to introduce how to configure static ARP on a switch.

Configure static ARP table entries on the Switch for the PC host to prevent the ARP table entries of the host from being modified by ARP attack messages, causing the communication between the PC and the outside world to be interrupted.Configure static ARP table entries for the file backup server on the Switch to prevent the ARP table entries of the file backup server from being modified by ARP attack messages, causing the PC to be unable to access the file backup server normally.

Configuration steps:

1. As shown in the figure, the PC and server have been configured with the corresponding IP addresses and gateways.

2. Configure the switch, configure the VLAN and interface IP address on the switch respectively, and then add the interface to the corresponding VLAN.

3. Configure the corresponding static ARP table entries on the switch.

4. Configure the router interface IP address and add a static route to allow the 10.164.1.0 network segment to access the 20.0 network segment.

5. Run the command display arp static to view the configured static ARP table entries and test that 10.164.1.1 can ping 10.164.20.2. The host can ping the server.
